I'm a young fool and I make games via RM. I enjoy game mechanics and theories, especially new graphical experiments. I'm a master chip splicer and I draw my own resources as well. Teaching myself how to digitally paint via PS, after pixeling for several years.

Exactly, there should be thought behind every tile placed. That doesn't mean everything HAS to have a purpose. You gotta balance form with function, which is what architects actually do when they think up a design. Like, behind every decoration, there's a reason for it, a detail of the world that it reveals.

You have to acknowledge your early projects. That is where you came from, it was the testing ground that helped shaped your cranium into the way it works now. You can't forget your roots, even if it is Alex vs. Darklord.

Renaming Rm game folder deletes things?
Interesting, I think that must've been what happened. I fixed it completely by accident. This was achieved by moving the project directory to the desktop, changing the name back to the orig name in the project folder under program files, and then changing the directory back. When I opened up RM, it was the "updated" version, however, looking in the project folder, it did not reflect the same version. So instead, I had to create a game disk to access the "updated" folder.

Here is the strange thing, in the actual folder, it reverted to an earlier version of the game. Why would this happen?

So in rm2k3 I renamed the project folder outside of maker, and this deleted every event and graphic file. What?

Were you on speed for those last two? Maybe do some serious/regular games instead of joke games, which this site has a billion of.

I wouldn't make the menu text black it blends into the bg bcz of the fire on black. If you do keep the menu words black, at least give it a white stroke like the after history subtitle.
